What we list, how we find it, how we check it, and what the labels mean.
Any connector that works in Meta Muse: the connectors Meta ships, connectors approved into the Muse directory, connectors Meta or a partner has announced, and remote MCP servers that Muse can connect to by URL. Local-only servers that need to run on your own machine are out of scope. We also list services that block Muse, so you know before you try.
Builders submit them, we add ones announced by Meta and its partners with a source on every record, and a scout reads the official MCP Registry around the clock. Every remote server the scout finds is connected to, screened, and judged on whether it does something a Muse user would actually ask for. Only the ones that pass are listed. When the scout lists a server, it sends the developer a one-time note with a link to claim or remove the listing.
Before a server is listed, and weekly after that, it goes through these checks:
A server that fails any check is not listed. A listed server that later fails is removed. If its tool list changes, it is screened again. Screening can only see what a server exposes, not its code, so it lowers risk rather than removing it. Grant each connector only the access you need.
Every 15 minutes a scheduled job sends each listed endpoint a real Model Context Protocol initialize request, with no credentials, and records the answer and the time it took.
Open endpoints are also asked for their tool list every few hours, so the tool catalog on each record is what the server actually exposes.
Muse status is reported by builders and public sources, with the source linked on each record. Health and screening are measured by us. We never let one stand in for the other.
Connectors a builder submitted carry their details as given. Connectors we found in public sources say so, and their builders can claim them to correct the record or remove them.
musedirectory.ai is independent and not affiliated with Meta. Some listings are built by the people who run this directory. Those are marked publisher-operated on the list and carry a disclosure on their record, and they are checked and screened by the same jobs as everything else.
