Connects to YouTube to fetch timed transcripts and plain text captions, video metadata, top or newest comments, channel profiles and video feeds, trending lists, and search results. Muse can summarize a video, gauge audience reaction in the comments, or compare channels.

Example request: "Summarize the main points of this YouTube video and tell me what the top comments are saying about it."

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use YouTube Transcript, Comments & Video Data API to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://api.youtubeapi.io/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

- youtube_channel: Resolve any YouTube channel handle (@handle), channel ID (UC...), or vanity URL to get subscriber count, video count, bio, avatar, and banner.
- youtube_channel_videos: List a YouTube channel's uploaded videos feed sorted by newest, popular, or oldest.
- youtube_channel_shorts: List a YouTube channel's uploaded Shorts feed sorted by newest or popular.
- youtube_trending: Fetch currently trending YouTube videos by country code and category.
