Provides real UK MOT failure data aggregated from official DfT test results. Shows failure rates by component and typical failure mileages for specific car makes, models and years to help assess used car reliability.

Example request: "Show me the failure rates and common problems for a 2015 Volkswagen Golf with 80,000 miles before I buy it"

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use WhatBreaks MOT to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://whatbreaks.uk/api/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

- mot_reliability: Real UK MOT failure data for a used car: per-category failure rates (overall and at a given mileage) and the riskiest components with typical failure mileages. Use whenever a user is buying, comparing or maintaining a used car sold in the UK. Data is aggregated from official DfT 
- mot_vehicle_search: Search the covered vehicles (530 UK model generations) by free text. Use to check coverage or disambiguate before calling mot_reliability.
