Collects your tax facts through an AI agent, calculates your federal Form 1040 or 1040-SR return, and prepares it for e-filing. You review the completed return on a secure filing page, provide consent, and sign before submission to the IRS. Covers federal returns only.

Example request: "Help me file my 2025 federal income tax return"

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Terminal Tax to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://mcp.terminal.tax/v1/hosted-mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

- continue_filing_session: Checks the taxpayer's completed draft packet for a federal return and, when it passes, holds it as an unsigned draft and returns the link to the filing page; otherwise returns a list of problems to correct.
