Scans receipts and invoices from URLs or files using Taggun OCR to extract structured data (merchant, date, totals, tax, line items). Validates receipts against custom campaigns you set up in Taggun. Requires a Taggun account; free tier covers 1,000 scans in 30 days.

Example request: "Extract the itemized charges and total from a receipt photo so I can categorize expenses for my business."

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Taggun Receipt Scanner to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://taggun.usefulapi.io/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

- taggun_get_campaign: The stored validation rules of one campaign (dates, merchants, products, fraud checks, SmartValidate prompts). Does not use a scan. GET /api/validation/v1/campaign/settings/{campaignId}.
- taggun_export_reference_data: Read the reference data stored on your Taggun account as CSV: product_categories (the category taxonomy), known_merchants (merchant names and locations used for matching) or product_codes (expected product codes). Read-only; does not use a scan. The text is cut at 40,000 characte
