How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use squidmaps to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://squidmaps.io/api/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

Tools:
- get_map_spec: How squidmaps map documents are written: the map, its features, and how they're styled. Read it before writing a map for create_map.
- create_map: Make a squidmaps map from a map document, and get its link, which works for an hour after it was last changed. The person opens the link to see the map and add it to their account. Returns an editToken: keep it, to change this map with update_map rather than making another.
- update_map: Replace a map made with create_map with a changed map document: the whole document, not just what changed. Its link stays the same, and keeps working another hour. Fails once someone has added the map to their account.
- preview_map: A picture of a map made with create_map, as its link shows it, to check how it looks: where things are, their styles, its title panel and legend. 1200×630 by default, the shape most people see it in. Ask for another size to fit the map's shape: taller (like 800×1000) for a map th
