Looks up every researched race on a U.S. voter's ballot from a street address. For each choice, shows its stated position on the issues that office decides, with the exact quote and source link. Can also score how closely each candidate fits the priorities you name, using only sourced positions. No sign-in required. Open source.

Example request: "Look up my ballot for 123 Main St, Springfield, IL 62701 and show me where each candidate stands on housing and healthcare."

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Plain Ballot to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://plainballot.com/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

Tools:
- list_issues: The 18 issues Plain Ballot tracks. Each has two sides, each worded the way its own supporters would say it. Use the short side labels ("l" and "r") when giving priorities to score_fit.
- get_ballot: Every researched race on the ballot for a U.S. street address, with each choice's position on the issues that office decides, the exact quote, and the source URL.
- score_fit: How closely each choice on the voter's ballot fits the priorities the voter stated, from 0 to 100. Plain arithmetic, the same as plainballot.com: issues where a choice has no sourced position are left out, never guessed. Only use priorities the voter actually gave you.
