Connects to satellite tracking data to show where satellites are now, when they pass over your location, upcoming launches, close approaches in orbit, and crew aboard space stations. Helps you plan stargazing and stay informed about space activity.

Example request: "Tell me when I can see the International Space Station from my city tonight."

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Orbinauts to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://api.orbinauts.com/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

Tools:
- find_satellites: Finds satellites and other tracked objects by name, alias or catalogue number, in the catalogue of everything in orbit. Call it when a person names a satellite in words (Hubble, Starlink, Tiangong, a GPS satellite) to learn its catalogue number and alias. Each match says what the
- satellite_now: Where one satellite is right now: the point on the ground beneath it, its altitude and speed, what it is over (a country or a sea), whether it is in sunlight or in the Earth's shadow, the orbit it is on, and what it is: its kind, its launch day and mass where the site has written
- passes: When satellites pass over a place in the next ten days, in the place's local time: for one satellite, every pass with its rise, highest point and set, and whether it can be seen; with no satellite named, the passes a person can see with the naked eye (the ISS, Tiangong, Hubble an
- launches: Rocket launches coming up in the next sixty days and launched in the last thirty, from Launch Library 2: for each, the rocket and the mission, what it carries and where it is bound, the launch site, its time as exactly as the provider states it (a minute, a day, a month) in UTC,
- close_approaches: The close approaches between objects in orbit that Space-Track reports publicly: two objects predicted to pass within about a kilometre of each other, with the time of closest approach in UTC, the miss distance, the chance of collision where one is stated, and the two objects nam
- reentries: Which objects in orbit are expected to fall back to Earth within the next week, each with the window Space-Track predicts (a start and an end in UTC, never a place), and which came down in the last ninety days, each with the day the catalogue dates its re-entry. Satellites, rocke
- crew: Who is aboard each space station right now (the International Space Station and Tiangong), as Launch Library lists their expeditions: each person's name, role, agency, the flight that brought them and the day it docked, with the crew changes of the last two days. Call it when ask
- census: How many satellites and other objects are in orbit around Earth right now, counted by kind (satellites, rocket bodies, debris, unidentified) and by orbit (low, medium, inclined geosynchronous, geostationary, highly elliptical). Call it when asked how many satellites there are, ho
