Connects to Freddie Mac's weekly mortgage survey. Muse can pull the latest 30-year and 15-year fixed averages, look up rates on any date back to 1971, chart history, and estimate monthly principal and interest for a loan amount, including a comparison to last year's rate.

Example request: "What is the 30-year mortgage rate this week, and what would the payment be on a $400,000 loan?"

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Mortgage Rates Today to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://mortgage-rates-today-mcp.lipmichal.workers.dev/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. - get_mortgage_rate_history: Freddie Mac PMMS 30-year or 15-year fixed averages between two dates as weekly rows or monthly or annual averages, with the high, low and change over the range. Default is the last 52 weeks of the 30-year rate.
- calculate_mortgage_payment: Monthly principal and interest and total interest for a fixed-rate loan. Without a rate it uses this week's Freddie Mac average for 30-year or 15-year terms, and compares it with the average a year earlier. Taxes, insurance and PMI are not included.
