Connects Muse to the MiCompress service. Muse can compress images, PDFs, video, audio, Office files, EPUB and archives from any public or shared Google Drive or Dropbox link, then return a smaller copy with the before and after sizes. Download links last 24 hours. Choose lossless, recommended or extreme compression, and optionally resize images.

Example request: "Compress the vacation photo album PDF in my Dropbox so I can email it."

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use MiCompress to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://micompress.com/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

Tools:
- compress_file_from_url: Download a file from a public URL, compress it on micompress.com and return a download link to the smaller file (valid 24 hours) with the size before and after. Works for images (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, HEIC, RAW…), PDF, video, audio, Office documents, EPUB and archives. Accepts dir
- get_compression_result: Check a compression started by compress_file_from_url that was still processing. Returns the download link once it is done.
- list_supported_formats: List the file extensions MiCompress can compress, grouped by category, with the size limit for this connection.
