Searches a public index of US job postings to flag ghost jobs (listings that are inactive or repeatedly reposted without hiring). Look up individual job links, search by role or company, and get company hiring reports showing what share of their listings are flagged.

Example request: "Is this job posting from Stripe a ghost job, or is it real and actively hiring?"

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use JobSlop to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://jobslop.io/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

Tools:
- jobslop_index_overview: Current totals for the JobSlop public index: jobs, active, inactive, ghost-flagged listings and companies, when the index was generated, and what it covers. Call this first to see how fresh and how large the data is.
- jobslop_search_jobs: Search tracked US job listings by keyword, company, status, location and posting age. Returns compact summaries with paging; use jobslop_get_job for one listing's full detail.
- jobslop_get_job: Full detail for one listing by its JobSlop id: dates, sightings over the last 30 days, reposts, whether it is flagged as a ghost job and why in plain language, and the job description.
- jobslop_find_job_by_url: Check whether JobSlop tracks the job posting at a given URL and, if so, return its status and ghost-job flag. Use this when someone shares a job link and asks whether it is a ghost job.
- jobslop_company_report: How one employer's tracked listings look: counts of active, inactive and ghost-flagged listings, the share flagged, and its listings (ghost-flagged and longest-open first).
- jobslop_list_companies: Companies in the JobSlop index with their listing counts. Filter by name and sort by size or by how many listings are ghost-flagged.
- search: Search tracked US job listings by keywords such as role, company or location. Returns ids to pass to fetch.
- fetch: Full text for one listing id returned by search: status, dates, reposts, ghost-job flag and description.
