Connects to Docket Nexus to search federal litigation records. Find cases linked to companies, view docket entries, case details, judges, courts, and document metadata from public U.S. federal courts.

Example request: "Show me all product liability cases filed against a company in the past year."

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Docket Nexus to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://mcp.docketnexus.com/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

Tools:
- get_company: Get a public company's Docket Nexus profile by slug (e.g. 'acme-widgets-inc'): name, industry, number of linked cases, verified public-company identity when on the verified roster, and top case types and courts.
- get_company_cases: List public cases linked to a company, newest or oldest first, optionally filtered by nature of suit or court. Paginate with next_cursor. At most 25 per call.
- get_case: Get a public case by its Docket Nexus URL (https://docketnexus.com/case/.../): caption, court, docket number, dates, judge, cause, nature of suit, parties as shown on the case page, and disposition when recorded.
- get_case_docket: List a public case's docket entries newest first, with document availability. Paginate with next_cursor. At most 50 per call. Entries the site does not publish are omitted and only counted.
- get_document: Get public metadata for a docket document by its Docket Nexus document id: entry, date, description, page count, availability and parent case. Metadata only; no document text.
- search_cases: Search public cases by caption words, 'A v. B', or a federal docket number WITH its office prefix (e.g. 1:24-cv-01234). Results are newest first, at most 25 per call; paginate with next_cursor.
