Connects to the Convertr conversion service. Muse can convert a file from a public link or uploaded content into another format, check conversion status, list supported formats, and delete files early. Results come back as a download link that expires after 24 hours. Needs an API key and uses credits.

Example request: "Convert this video file to mp3 so I can listen to it on my phone."

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Convertr to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://convertr.org/mcp. It needs an API key from Convertr; ask me to enter it through your secure credential prompt. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

Tools:
- convert_file: Convert a file to another format. Give exactly one of url (public link to the file) or content_base64 (file content, max 10 MB), plus output_format. The call waits up to wait_seconds (default 50, max 80) for the result. When the status is succeeded, the answer contains the downlo
- delete_conversion: Delete a conversion and its files before the 24 hour retention ends. The download link stops working. This cannot be undone. Needs an API key.
- get_account: Show the plan, the free credits left this month, the prepaid credit balance and the maximum file size of the account behind the API key. Needs an API key.
- get_conversion: Get the status of a conversion by id. With wait_seconds (max 80) it waits until the conversion ends. When succeeded, the answer contains the download_url. Needs an API key.
- list_formats: List what Convertr can convert. Without input_format it returns all supported input formats (short list). With input_format (for example mp4) it returns every output format for that input, with its group (Audio, Video, Image, Document ...). Use it to check that a conversion exist
