## Backlnk

Checks a web page for SEO and AI crawler issues, then verifies the fixes

- Record: https://musedirectory.ai/connector/backlnk
- Category: Marketing & Ads
- Developer: Backlnk (https://backlnk.com/developers)
- Muse status: Extra setup. Not in Muse's Connectors list yet. Muse can still use it: its page gives you a request to paste into Muse.
- Health: Working, 421ms, checked 2026-11-07T00:30:48Z
- Endpoint: https://backlnk.com/mcp
- Auth: Needs an access key; Pricing: unknown
- Screening: Screened, no issues found (2026-11-06T11:16:15Z)
- Source: Found in the official MCP Registry (com.backlnk/backlnk) https://registry.modelcontextprotocol.io/v0/servers?search=com.backlnk%2Fbacklnk

Connects to Backlnk's audit API to run technical SEO and AI visibility checks on any public URL. Muse can list the available checks, run them, read the findings and recommendations, build robots.txt rules for AI crawlers, and re-check a page after fixes ship.

Example request: "Check my pricing page for SEO problems and tell me what to fix first."

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Backlnk to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://backlnk.com/mcp. It needs an API key from Backlnk; ask me to enter it through your secure credential prompt. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

- get_report: Returns the compact report of an earlier check: state, summary, counts and findings (detail "actions": issues and warnings only, the default; "all": every finding).
- verify_fixes: After the fixes are deployed: re-runs the same check fresh on the same URL and options, waits up to about 40 seconds and returns the comparison with the original run: fixed, new, still open and not re-checked findings.
- ai_crawler_policy: Builds robots.txt lines that allow or block AI crawlers from BACKLNK's reviewed crawler catalog, with what each line does and warnings. Use a preset (block-training: Block AI training, stay in AI search; block-ai: Block AI crawlers, keep search engines; allow-all: Allow every cra
