Scans product ingredient lists against stored allergies for each household member, catching allergens under alternate names like arachis oil for peanut or casein for milk, and in cosmetics. Works on food and cosmetic products.

Example request: "Check if this cereal is safe for my daughter who has a peanut allergy."

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Allergen Detector to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://allergen-detector-mcp.onrender.com/mcp. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

Tools:
- check_product_allergens: Check a product's ingredient list against the allergies of one or more people in a household. Catches allergens listed under other names (e.g. "arachis oil" for peanut, "casein" for milk, Latin plant names in cosmetics) and does not let "free from" claims hide a real ingredient.
- lookup_ingredient: Tell which allergens, if any, an ingredient name belongs to, e.g. "sodium caseinate" -> milk, "Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil" -> tree nuts, "DMDM hydantoin" -> formaldehyde releasers.
- list_supported_allergens: List the allergens this service can check (food and cosmetic), with the other names users may type for them.
