Search and compare US colleges using public federal data. Get historical admissions ranges, majors offered, tuition and fees, average financial aid by income bracket, and application deadlines with a prep timeline. Data comes from IPEDS institutional records.

How to connect: Not in Muse's Connectors list yet, but Muse can still use it. Paste this into Muse: "Use Admit Coach to help me. It is a free service with an MCP server at https://admit-coach.com/api/mcp/. It does not need an API key. Ask me before you share anything with it." Muse asks before it shares anything with the app's site. Meta does not review apps used this way, so only use ones you trust. We tested this in the Muse app on September 24, 2026: Muse used an app's link directly this way and returned a live answer.

Tools:
- search_universities: Find colleges by name, two-letter location, field of study or historical acceptance rate. Returns at most 20 institutions and links to school profiles. This searches public institutional records, does not access student accounts, and does not predict admission. 
- get_university_details: Read a college's admissions ranges, majors, costs and outcomes by IPEDS ID. Use search_universities to resolve a name first. Values are historical and may be missing; cite the returned school URL. No login, personal profile or student documents are accessed. 
- get_financial_aid: Read historical average net price, income brackets, grants and debt for a college. These cohort statistics are not a personalized cost estimate or financial aid offer. Public-college averages may not apply to nonresident students. Verify the official college net-price calculator 
- get_application_deadlines: Recorded application, aid and commitment deadlines for up to 20 colleges, with days remaining. Also returns a prep schedule worked backwards from the earliest application deadline (recommendations, first essay draft, final essay, submission) and a calendar-file URL. Dates come fr
